Roy Eugene Conner, 84, of Ware Shoals, husband of Patricia Chambers Conner, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his home.

Born in Vidalia, Georgia, he was the son of the late William James Conner and Hattie Bridges Conner. Roy was a former Meat Supervisor at Winn Dixie, where he dedicated 26 years of his life to serving the community. Outside of his professional life, Roy cherished his time spent with family and found great joy in outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. He was also an avid reader, always eager to learn and share stories. A faithful member of the Church of Christ, Roy lived his life grounded in faith and his family. He was a devoted husband to Patricia, with whom he shared 64 loving years of marriage.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Greg Conner (Tammi) and Tyler Conner (Tanya); grandchildren, Erin Bohanna (Travis), Brenna Conner, Katie Conner, Maegan Press (Erik), Kimberly Crouch (Martin), Mekenzie Johns (Colten) and Ethan Conner (Dylan); great grandchildren, Dax, Evie, Charlotte, Brooks, Brady and Raelynn; and two great grandbabies on the way.

Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Sammons Funeral Home, 4201 West Main Street, Soperton, Georgia, 30457. Burial will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
