Roy Albert Davenport, 66, of 2116 Airport Road, husband of Grace Ann Burkett Davenport, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at his home. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Joseph Cecil Davenport and Sybil Moss Toney. He was retired from Wilson Brothers and was an active member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Men�s Ministry. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife; two sons, Bobby J. Davenport of Greenwood and Ronald A. Davenport of Ware Shoals; three grandchildren, Bobby Q. Davenport of Hodges, William J. Lindley of Ware Shoals and Jen� D. James of Seneca. Also surviving are a sister, Vickie L. Gorham of Greenwood and four brothers, Jerry Davenport of Columbia, Ronnie Davenport of Georgia, Joseph �Joe� Davenport of Fort Mill and Cecil �Cec� Davenport of Durham, NC and his stepmother, Juanita Luker Davenport of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Shirley and Mildred Locklear.
