Ruben Arthur "Oscar Willie" Rush, 64, of 4223 Callison Highway, husband of Linda Cantrell Rush, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home.
Born in Callison, he was a son of the late Ruben Rallie Rush and Ola Gertrude Patterson Rush. He was a painter for Grimes Aerospace and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is his wife of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Anthony and Paula Johnson of Tell City, IN; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacy Canfield Dutton and Tim Dutton of Elberton, GA; seven sisters, Ruby Creswell (Craig), Sylvia Richey (John), Linda Richardson (Robert) all of Bradley, Selena Ashley (Ken) of Danielsville, GA, Beth Burke (Vernon) of Greenwood, Kathy Davis (Alvin) of Woodruff, Sonya Gregory (Leroy) of Saluda; two brothers, Sam Rush (Faye) of Bradley and Bob Rush (Laurie) of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Mark Joyal, Matthew Leonard, Ryan Johnson, Garrett, Gavin, Gaege, and Kaili Dutton; six great grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews; and their special friend, "George".
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Ray and Nelva Rush.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Chuck Keller officiating.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8 p.m.
