Ruby Jean Jenkins Gillion, 68, of 103 Pinson Drive, Honea Path, wife of Johnie Gillion, Sr., died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Hospice of Laurens. Born in Rutherfordton, NC, she was a daughter of the late Ellen Hensley. She was employed by Abney Mills and attended Calvary Holiness Tabernacle Church. Surviving are her husband of the home; two daughters, Sheri McDowell of Saluda and Teresa Cathcart Rogers (Danny) of Honea Path; a son, Johnie Gillion, Jr. of Clinton; three sisters, Sally Coker (Billy) of Anderson, Lorene Puckett of Chesnee and Susie Hensley of Chesnee; four brothers, Bill Hensley of Chesnee, Freddie Hensley (Sharon) of Spartanburg, Donald Jenkins and his wife of Spartanburg, and Jim Hensley (Tammy) of Chesnee; two grandchildren, Kevin E.L. Gaines of Simpsonville and Shayla Gaines of Honea Path; and three great grandchildren, Reagan Gaines of Simpsonville, Jaden Weathers of Waterloo, and Damien Keith Trotter of Honea Path. Pallbearers will be Bobby Bice, Lavern Berry, Joel McDowell, and Michael McDowell. The family is at the home.
