Russell R. Rohr, 77, of 308 Greenview Court, McCormick, SC, husband of Jerry Welch Rohr, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Russ was born in Kalamazoo, MI and was the son of the late Richard Lee and Velma Ferguson Rohr. He spent thee years in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Korea. He was proud of his service to his country. Russ retired from Lansing State Journal after having worked 39 years as a plate maker. He and his wife, Jerry, were married for 54 years. They retired in 1994 and moved to Savannah Lakes Village in McCormick and were members of McCormick United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Jerry; a son, Richard Lee Rohr and his wife, Stephanie, of Eaton Rapids, MI; a daughter, Katherine (Kitty) Kay Rohr of Lansing, MI; five grandchildren: Russell, Richard, Jami, Jena and Griffen; and step-grandchildren, Lyle and Sierra.
