Thomas Russell Brown, 80, of 142 Ballenger Road, loving father and grandfather, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 19, 2017 while at his daughter's home in Ozark, AL.

Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late James Malcomb and Emma Elizabeth Sharpe Brown. He retired from Greenwood Mills, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club and also retired from Greenwood School District 50 as a custodian. Mr. Brown was a US Marine veteran and a member of Restoration Ministries Church of God.

Surviving are his children, Dwana Mackie (Ed) of Hodges, Kelly May (Robert) of Ozark, AL, Donna Jodella Pressley (Tim) of Hodges and Timmy Brown of Greenwood; sisters, Edna Mae Martin (Buddy) of Greenwood and Carolyn Mobley (Carl) of Hodges; brothers, Billy Brown (Nellie Jean) of Pelzer, Jimmy Brown (Betty) of Greenwood, and David Brown (Kathy) of Abbeville; grandchildren, Joey Mackie, Ryan Watkins, both of Greenwood, Russ Mackie (Windy) and Elizabeth Smith (Levi), both of Hodges, Lindsey Holland (Lee) of Ozark, AL, and Melissa Glorioso (Nick) of Anchorage, AK; and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Frank Brown.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Restoration Ministries Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth Rabon officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Russell (Russ) Mackie, Ryan Watkins, Michael Barnes, Carl Mobley, Jr., Stephen Mobley, Robert Mobley, Frank Malone, and Jimmy Gainey.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.
