Russell "Big Rutt" Van Fox, 60, of 2324 Carter Road, Ninety Six, husband of Robin Thompson Fox, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Erma Davis Fox and the late Freddie Eugene Fox. He was a former employee of Greenwood Mills and a member of Cambridge United Methodist Church. Russell was an avid deer hunter.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home, are his sons, Russell Fox of Ninety Six and Lucas Fox of Greenwood; a brother, Freddie Steven Fox of Ninety Six; and four grandchildren, Erin, Alyssa, River, and Raines.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Cambridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Smyth and Rev. Dwayne Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Neil Womack, Brandon Griffin, Dennis Weathers, Stacy Green, Preston Gable, and Roy Swink.

The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.

The family sincerely thanks the doctors and nurses in ICU at Self Regional for their compassionate care shown to Russell.
