Ruth Weeks Cothran, 84, of 302 Pitts Circle, widow of Harold Cothran, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at her home. Born in McCormick, she was a daughter of the late Ledell and Rosa Lee Singleton Weeks. She was retired from Moore Business Forms and was a member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a member and substitute teacher of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann Warren of Waterloo and Vickie Davenport and her husband, Bob, of Cross Hill; a son, Ernest McNeil Godsey and his wife, Elida, of Huntsville, AL; a sister, Jean Clem of Dahlonega, GA; a brother, J. O. Weeks of Greenwood; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was twice married, first to the late Ernest Ben Godsey and was also preceded in death by a sister, Lou Ella Wiley and brothers, Fulton Weeks, David Weeks, Paul Weeks, Tom Weeks and Clarence Weeks.
