Ruth Isabella Leopard Dickerson, 80, of 306 Eddy Road, widow of Rev. Ralph Chandler Dickerson, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Larue Lowery Leopard. Ruth worked for Nantex for more than forty years and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Ninety Six Church of God. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Sprouse and a granddaughter, Tracey McCary. Surviving are a son, Mike Dickerson of Donalds; two daughters, Diane (Charles) Jenkins of Waterloo and Teresa (Julian) McCary of Ninety Six; two sisters, Edith (Hebron) Ouzts of Ninety Six and Loretta (Leon) Spearman of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Raymond (Bonnie) Leopard of Raleigh, NC; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
