Callie Ruth Allen Godfrey, 82, 406 Vines Road, widow of the Rev. Wade H. Godfrey, Jr. died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Callie Mae Still Allen. Mrs. Godfrey was a former department manager for Roses Stores, Inc and a member of Ninety Six First Baptist Church where she was in the church choir and a Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, a daughter, Christy Lea Godfrey and nine brothers. Surviving are daughters, Darlene Ruth Godfrey Byrd (Devon) of Society Hill, Cecelia Ann Godfrey of Trenton and Tina Mae Godfrey Simmons (Tommy) of Ninety Six; a granddaughter raised in the home, LeAnne Godfrey Stockman of Greenwood, twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
