Ruth Novella Stepp Kirby, 82, of 215 Overbrook Road, widow of Ralph D. Kirby, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Union, she was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Stroud Stepp. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Monarch Mills in Union. She was a member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church and the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. Surviving is her daughter, Rita Marie Creasman; two granddaughters, Teresa C. Bollinger and Mary Frances Creasman and her husband, Michael Henderson; and a great grandson, Johnathon Henderson, all of the home.
