Ruth Nance Ouzts, 86, of 131 Lawton Street, widow of Roy Ouzts, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Beardon, AR, she was a daughter of the late Odie Alexander Nance and Verda Maye Clemmons Nance. Ruth was formerly employed with the Saluda Nursing Center where she was the Activity Director and worked 19 years. She was in the Sunshine Seniors Club, helped with Piedmont Agency on Aging and in the Red Hat Society-Good Hope Creepers. Ruth was a member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was in the Ever Ready Sunday school class and Women�s Ministries. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Nance, Tommy Nance, and Randolph Nance. Surviving are her children, Carolyn (Jerry) Ouzts Forehand of Panama City, FL, Gerald (Tonia) Langdon Ouzts of Russellville, AR, Roy Milburn Ouzts of Easley, Weyman Ouzts, Douglas (Tammy) Ouzts, both of Saluda and Dave Ouzts of Minneapolis, MN; two sisters, Evelyn Miller of AR and Lou Norman of Monroe, LA; a brother, Calvin Nance of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and special friends, Jo Bagwell, Rufus & Pat Padgett and many, many more.
