Ruth �Ruthie� Elledge Cooper, 72, widow of James Perry �Pete� Cooper, of 164 Ruth Walker Road, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Hospice House. Born on June 6, 1938 in Bullock County, Georgia, Ruth was the daughter of the late Joe Elledge Sr. and Queen Neubern Elledge. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a sister, Virginia Turner and her husband Victor, of Waterloo; and a brother, Steve Elledge of Gteenwood. Also surviving are a niece raised in the home, Margie Seymore and her husband Al, of Clinton, and other nieces that cared for her after the death of her husband, Carleen Williamson and her husband Lavern, of Greenwood and Brenda Medlin and her husband Mike of Ware Shoals. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by three sisters, Joeleen Conyers, Lila Fleck and Elizabeth Elledge and two brothers, Joe and James Robert Elledge. Pallbearers will be Scott Conklin, Steven Cathcart, John Wilson, Mike Medlin, Ray Elledge, Charles Elledge, Paul Scott and Barry Conyers. .
