Samuel McGowan Lowe, 91, of 134 Allison Drive, husband of Gladys King Lowe, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Savannah Heights Living Center, McCormick. Born in Edgefield, he was a son of the late Hiram Pugh and Katherine Jackson Lowe. He retired from Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works, was a US Army-Air Force veteran of World War II and was a Mason for more than 60 years. He was a member of Jordan Memorial Baptist Church. He was first married to the late Ellen Ridlehoover Lowe for 62 years. Surviving is his wife of Greenwood; two sons and daughters-in-law, Luther Samuel and Carolyn Lowe of Greenville and Bennie Allen and Dianne Lowe of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Alan Lowe, Sam Lowe and Mary Beth Bennett and four great grandchildren, Katie Lowe, Josh Lowe, Lee Bennett and Jacob Bennett.
