Samuel Sebron Rush, 75, of Bradley, South Carolina, passed away on December 1, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on July 8, 1949, in Greenwood, South Carolina, to the late Ruben and Gertrude Rush. Sam served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He then dedicated over 30 years of his life as a machinist at Aldrich Machine. Sam cherished his family above all else. He was the 6th child of 12 children and was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, Faye Rush, with whom he celebrated 53 wonderful years of marriage. Sam was a caring father and a proud grandfather to his grandchildren. He found immense joy in spending time with his family, and his legacy will live on through them.
Sam enjoyed his retirement, embracing the joys of life and creating countless memories with those he loved. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed.
Along with his wife, Sam is survived by sons, Bryan Rush (Heather), and Chris Rush (Becky), and grandchildren, Zoe, Zeb, and Nathan Rush.
A graveside service will be held on December 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Following the service, friends and family are invited to gather at The Greenwood Shrine Club, 402 Shrine Club Rd, Greenwood, SC, 29649.
