Sandra Jean Avery Gable, 52, of Lakeview Road, Newberry, beloved wife of Preston Kent Gable, died on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at her home.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late William Albert Avery Sr. and Faye Dill Emery. Sandra was a teacher at Newberry Middle School and formerly at Westview Middle School where she taught for 20 years and enjoyed teaching all of her students. She was a member of Cambridge United Methodist Church. Sandra adored being a grandmother to her two grandsons and enjoyed life on the lake.

Surviving are her daughters, Amanda Johnson (Ty) and Katherine Gable; a sister, Laurie Hulon; four brothers, Billy Avery, Jamie Timms, Robbie Timms and Russell Emery; and two grandsons, Westyn Cole Johnson and Gavyn Cale Johnson.

The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.

A private family graveside will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Ninety Six.
