Obituary
Sara Virginia Turner, 92, of 1002 Marshall Road, Greenwood, widow of William Harold "Bill" Turner, died Monday, October 2, 2017 at her home.
Born in Switzer, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Otts Turner and Rosa Lee Farmer Turner. Sara retired from Professional Medical Products and was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a step daughter, Roxanne Akers.
Surviving are her children, Sherry Fowler (James), Fremon Davis, Jr. (Linda) and Ernie Davis (Carolyn), all of Greenwood; a step-son-in-law, Jeff Akers; a step daughter Mary Frances Anderson of Greenwood; a sister, Margaret McDowell of Spartanburg; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Gilbert officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 772 Old Ninety Six Highway, Greenwood, SC 29646.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the love and care shown from her caregivers, Shirley Giles, Sandra Crenshaw, Rosa Alexander, Elizabeth Brock, Betty Davis and Linda Williams.
