Sara Paige Johnson Yarbrough, 87, of 208 Andrews Street, widow of Charles Yarborough, died Saturday, September 9, 2011 at Hospice House. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Griffin N. and Annie Mae Campbell Paige. Sara retired from Greenwood Mills where she was in the Quarter Century Club and a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church where she was in the Cheerful Workers Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Marvin Johnson. Surviving are a son, Jimmy (Ruby)Johnson of Greenwood; a sister, Evelyn (Don) Huffman of Florence; a brother, Melvin (Marilyn) Paige of Cleveland, TX; a sister-in-law, Connie Paige of Valley Stream, NY; three grandchildren, Scott (Holly) Johnson of Columbia, Darrin Johnson of Cross Hill and Denise Johnson of Hodges; and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family is at the home of her son, Jimmy Johnson, 213 Jennings Avenue, Greenwood.
