Sarah Simpson Jones, 82, formerly of 411 North Church Street, Ninety Six, widow of Labron Porter Jones, Jr., died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at NHC Health Care Center. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Willie Estelle Maddox Simpson. She was retired from Greenwood Mills and Parke-Davis and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is her daughter, Debra Latham and her husband, Eddie, of Greenwood; her son, Larry Jones and his wife, Celia, of Ninety Six; a brother, Cecil Simpson of Greenwood; grandchildren, Russell Latham (Melissa) of Greenwood, Barry Jones (Gina) of Anderson, George Jones (Amber) of Iva, Kelly White (Robbie) of Greenwood, Gary Jones (Melinda) of Ninety Six and David Jones of Columbia; great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Travis and Lauren Young, Hannah and Kelsey White, all of Greenwood, Garrett and Trace Jones of Iva, Cody Jones of Anderson and Haylie Jones of Ninety Six. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Dorn and two brothers, Marshall Simpson and Herman Simpson.
