Sarah Coleman Shealy, 89, of 223 West Main Street, Ninety Six, widow of David H. Shealy, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at NHC Health Care Center. Born in Cross Hill, she was a daughter of the late Hoyle and Beatrice Ward Coleman. She retired from Self Memorial Hospital and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, holding many offices in the church including treasurer for 26 years, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Mattie Hazel Circle. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Preston Shealy and her brother, Ernest Coleman. Surviving are three sons, Richard Shealy, Michael Shealy and his wife, Barbara, Christopher Shealy and his wife, Catherine, all of Ninety Six; two sisters, Virginia Jacobs of Clinton and Margaret Prendergast of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
