Scottie "Scott" Sherrill McMahan, 71, of Waterloo, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at his home.

Born in Knoxville, TN, he was a son of the late Herman McMahan and Lucy Ingles. Scott retired from B F Shaw and enjoyed fishing, motorcycles and listening to music. He loved having a good time with his family and friends and cherished his dog, Ruby.

He was preceded in death by his parents along with Lucy McMahan, who raised him; a daughter, Kimberly McMahan; a brother, Steve McMahan; and the mother of his children, Kim McMahan.

Surviving are his children, Haley Jones (Michael), Jeremy McMahan, both of Hodges and Amanda Mashburn (Shannon) of Cross Hill; sisters, Martha Johnson, Alesia Waldrop and Robin Lebarre; brother, Mark McMahan; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 5-7pm.
