Scotty Dobbins, 55, of Gardendale, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Born and raised in Greenwood, SC, Scotty later moved to Alabama with his wife, Stephanie, and son, Alex, who meant the world to him. He was the son of Kathy Cook Adams and the late Johnny "Dynamite" Dobbins. Scotty had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures - whether it was being near the water at the lake or beach, watching dirt track racing, cheering on SEC football games, hitting the gym, or studying the Bible. He attended Church H2O, formerly known as Forestdale Free Will First Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife and son of the home; are mother and stepfather, Kathy and Mike Adams of Greenwood; his sons, Dillion Dobbins and Jamie Dobbins, both of Greenwood; siblings, Davey Dobbins (Terrie) and Renee Dobbins; nephew, Matthew Dobbins (Becca); and several grandchildren.

A celebration of Scotty's life will be held at 2pm on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lee Bear officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 12-2pm.

The family is at the home of Matthew and Becca Dobbins.
