Shane Taylor McGuire 26, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025.

Born in Orange Park, FL, he was the son of Joseph and Jennifer Merritt McGuire. A devoted caregiver, Shane touched the lives of those he cared for with his compassion and dedication. He was also known for his exceptional skills in coding and his passion for video games, which brought him joy and connection with friends and family. From an early age, Shane held a deep admiration for the military, reflecting his strong sense of loyalty and respect for those who served. His love for his Corvette was a testament to his adventurous spirit and enthusiasm for life.

Shane was a beloved son, brother, and grandson and is survived by his parents, sister, Alisha Combs (Eric); grandmothers, Joyce McGuire and Branda Merritt; grandfather, Mac McGuire; niece, Aliyah Combs; nephew, Rowan Combs; and special cousin, Jason Patton Jr.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Don Merritt and Stephen Burt.

A celebration of life will be held at the Harley Family Center, 1101 Main Street South, Greenwood, SC on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m.
