Sharlene Fay Cavender, 90, formerly of Ninety Six, widow of Paul Cavender, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at NHC of Greenwood.
Born in Loraine, OH, she was a daughter of the late Irvine and Virginia Mollenkop. Sharlene was a kind and compassionate woman, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She found joy in attending her church at Temple Baptist, socializing with friends, and most of all, in spending time with her family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca "Becky" Shedd (Curtis) of Greenwood, Roderick Cavender (Teresa) of Ninety Six, Paul Cavender of Simpsonville, Tommy Cavender (Karen) of Greenwood, and Rejeana Whitfield (Kenneth) of Gilbert; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
