Sharon Valinda Langley Timmerman, 69, of Abbeville, widow of "Danny T" Timmerman, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at her home.
Born in Gaston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Luke B. Langley, Sr. and Felicia Eula Mack Langley. Sharon was known for her vibrant personality and her unwavering love for her family. She was an exceptional mother, earning herself the reputation of being the coolest mother in the neighborhood. Her caring nature and nurturing spirit made her a beloved figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Throughout her life, Sharon had a wide range of interests and hobbies. She loved reading and immersing herself in the world of sports, whether it was playing golf, cheering on the Carolina Gamecocks, or passionately supporting the Atlanta Braves. She especially enjoyed watching NASCAR and wrestling, showcasing her unwavering loyalty and enthusiasm. But perhaps one of her greatest talents was her beautiful singing voice, which brought joy to all those who had the pleasure of hearing her.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Shealy and a great grandchild, Alayna Marie.
Surviving are her children, Rev. Jeff Timmerman (Gloria) of Newberry and Shannon Baer (Frankie) of Abbeville; sisters, Felicia Langley of FL, Stacy Hudson (Beverly) of Greer; brothers, Hiram Langley (Sara) of Sumter and Luke Langley (Beth) of NC; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
