Sheila Dianne Still, 74, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at her home.
Born on June 20, 1950, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Owen Newman and Ann Brinkley Newman. Sheila was a graduate of Greenwood High School and later earned her bachelor's degree from Lander University in 1997 at the age of 47. Sheila found strength and fellowship in her faith and shared that with everyone in her life. Her love of the Lord inspired writing her own poetry including giving hand made Christmas cards with a special poem to inspire family and friends every year. An avid Clemson Tiger fan, she never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite team.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Still; second family and best friends, Donna and Ricky Hollingsworth and their children, Amy (Tommy) Benoit and Coy (Sarah) Hollingsworth; and she was a second grandmother, affectionately known as "MeMaw" to Charlie, Ethan, Mary, and Sam.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Home Care Team at Via Hospice of Laurens and her three new close friends, Heather, Jocelyn, and Vernishia.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Harley Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
