Shelby Pickens Gambrell, 33, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Tony Gambrell and the late Mary White Gambrell. Despite living with cerebral palsy, he filled his life with joy found in the simple pleasures of nature and family. Shelby had a profound love for snakes and enjoyed spending time at Edisto Beach. He enjoyed fishing trips and rides on the four-wheeler with his dad and brother brought him immense happiness, creating memories that will forever be treasured by his family.

Surviving in addition to his father are his brother, Austin Jones Gambrell (Kerry); niece, Hinsley Gambrell; along with numerous family and friends who loved him dearly.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Austin Gambrell, Adam Pollard, Rodger Waldrop, Barry White, KJ Stargel, Jeff Camm and Brent McKellar.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1-2 pm.
