Sherrie "Shelby" J. McDowell, 58 of 121 Whatley Drive, Greenwood, died on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her home.

Born in Aiken, she was the daughter of the late Eldred Alex Kneece and Dawnie Geneva Wood Kneece. Sherrie was a CNA and enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a member of Emerald Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Bowie.

Surviving are her sons, James McDowell (Kandy), Adam McDowell (Kathryn) and Buddy Shannon McDowell all of Greenwood; three sisters, Janice Harrah of Greenwood, Beverly Norrell (Thomas) of Ware Shoals and Connie Westberry (Curt) of Ninety Six; two brothers, Allen Kneece and Ronnie Kneece (Anita) both of Greenwood; eight grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts and Cindy Thorpe officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1 to 3 pm
