Sherry Lynn Pruett, 65, of Greenwood, widow of George Wayne Pruett, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, at NHC of Greenwood.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late William Royce Chaney and JoAnn Parks Chaney. Sherry was formerly employed with Uptown Greenwood and Greenwood Glass. A true lover of life, Sherry enjoyed spending her time on her back patio, surrounded by friends, where laughter and good conversation flowed freely. She was an avid reader, always with a book in hand, and had a passionate love for her Georgia Bulldogs, a testament to her spirited nature. She was a member of Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Sherry leaves behind her two cherished sons, Jason Schultz (Jessica) and Hunter Schultz (Katherine); her devoted sister, Kathy Rolin; three grandchildren, Abigail Schultz, Madison Schultz and Tucker Schultz; niece, Chaney McCoy (Matt); great nephew, Eason McCoy; and special lifelong friend, Debbie Edmunds
