Shirley Ruth Hall Eddy, 75, of 2104 Old Laurens Road, wife of David Eddy, died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Hospice House.
Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Branch Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Price Hall. She was retired from Monsanto, was a member of Heritage Sertoma Club and South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member of the Ever Ready Sunday School Class and the Sunshine Club.
Surviving is her husband of the home; a daughter, Tina Upton of Greenwood; a stepdaughter, Dawn Case of Horseshoe, NC; a stepson, David Eddy, Jr. (Alicia) of Hendersonville, NC; a sister, Mary Haston of Greenwood; two granddaughters, Courtney Upton and Nichole Sorrow (Daniel), both of Greenwood and four step grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with Dr. W. Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Sorrow, Kevin Haston, Frank Eddy, Tommy Eddy, Bill Welch, Dave Evans, Billy Ray Price, Terry Chastain and Michael Day.
Honorary escort will be members of the Heritage Sertoma Club and the Ever Ready Sunday School Class and Sunshine Club of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church along with Marlene Welch, Dee Satterfield, Carolyn Coursey, Judy Alexander and Bobbie Miller.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
