Wilton Steve Davis, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

  Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Wilton and Carolyn Roberts Davis. Steve was a man who embodied the true meaning of hard work and dedication, consistently providing for his family with unwavering love and commitment. Throughout his life, Steve took immense pride in his role as a grandparent. He delighted in the simple joys of keeping his grandson after school, cherishing those moments as some of the most treasured times. His great sense of humor and playful spirit made him a cherished companion, known for his ability to bring laughter and light-heartedness to those around him.

 Steve is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Proctor Davis; his daughter, Christina Dodgen, and her husband, Mike; his grandson, Koa Dodgen; and his sister, Jean Simpson.

  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
