Stephen F. Jones, 65, of Savannah Lakes Village, McCormick, South Carolina passed away quietly at his home on Sunday, August 30, 2009, surrounded by his family.� Steve was the husband of Maureen C. Mooney. They lived happily together for over twenty one years in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and, after Maureen�s retirement, spent the last two years in South Carolina.� Steve was born in Melrose, Massachusetts and spent his childhood summers and many winter weekends at Lake Winnipesauke, New Hampshire.� He attended school in Melrose and Yardley, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Pennsbury High School.� He attended Ryder College in New Jersey. He then lived for a number of years in New Jersey, Clearwater, Florida and finally Pennsylvania.� He was also a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. � Steve was a lifelong student receiving certificates in business management, real estate, as well as coast guard and scuba certifications. He also had numerous interests and was a man of many talents.� Steve was an entrepreneur involved in gas stations, convenience stores and owned a part interest in a marina.� In his later years, he switched his career path to management at several companies. � Most of all, Steve never lost that sense of adventure he had as a child. He loved the outdoors, mountains, travel and was often seen on an ATV, a boat, or traveling in his RV. He was involved in many clubs and was a member of the Lutheran Church by the Lake. � Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen, a daughter, Lisa Jones and a grandson, Tyler Lavelle, his loving sister, Carol Werley of West Chester, Pennsylvania and a brother, Alan Jones of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.� He was predeceased by his parents, Phyllis and Freeman Jones of Radnor, Pennsylvania.� � �
