Sudie M. Ashmore Arnett, 86, of 308 Saco Street, widow of Robert Arnett, Sr., died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Hospice House. Born in Lincolnton, GA, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Ruby Lillian Brown Ashmore. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church and was retired from Greenwood Mills, Chalmers Plant. Surviving is a daughter, Betty A. Smith of Greenwood; a brother, Donnie Ashmore and his wife, Virginia, of Lexington, GA; four grandchildren, Mark Smith and his wife, Christa, of Spartanburg, Billy Whaley and his wife, Laura, of Richmond, VA, Deborah S. Hughes and her husband, Mike, of Orangeburg, and Darrie Carlton of Maudlin; four great grandchildren, April Manly, Brandon Whaley, Russell Smith and Reese Smith and a great great granddaughter, Mallory Manly. She was preceded in death by four children, Patricia Ann Arnett, Brenda Joyce Arnett Lynch, Robert G. �Bobby� Arnett and Curtis Luther Arnett and a great granddaughter, Angela Simms.
