Bertha Sue �MaMa Sue� Lawrence Crawford, 75, of 101 Whitin Avenue, widow of William Irvin Crawford, died Saturday, October 18, 2014. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Ruby Pauline Crawford Lawrence. MaMa Sue was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shelvy Jean Fulmer and Ruby Elaine Cook. Surviving are her children, Bobbie Sue Boone, Kenneth Sanford Stargel (Lee), both of Ninety Six and Bobby Joe Stargel (Stacey) of Troy; a brother, Audi David Lawrence of Hodges; grandchildren, Dawn Alexander McGill (Jim), April Nicole Stargel, Shannon Terriol Stargel, Brittany Michelle Stargel and Kenneth Sanford Stargel, Jr.; and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rick Rhodes, Thomas Hasting, Jim McGill, Jamison Chamberlain, Robbie Alexander, Danny Wayne Stewart and Jerry Crawford. The family is at the home of her grandson, Shannon Stargel, Jr., 107 Diane Court, Greenwood, SC 29649.
