Obituary

Mary Sue Furqueron White, 93, of 2543 Puckett Town Road, Troy, widow of Alfred Langley White, Sr., passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Hospice House.

MawMaw was a remarkable woman. She leaves behind a large family forever grateful for her tender loving care and unending love.

Born in McCormick, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Furqueron and Anna Zeigler Furqueron. Sue was a former supervisor with Riegel Textile Corp. and was the owner of Fashion Shoppe in McCormick. She was a member of Troy United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; a sister; a granddaughter, Heather Smith; and a great grandson, Ladson.

Surviving are her children, Al White, Jr. (Linda) of Greenwood, Frank White (Kathy), Mike White, both of Troy, Bill White (Melissa) of Spartanburg, Susie Darby (Don) of Valkaria, FL, Nancy Smith (Clem) of Bradley and Donnie White (Kippie) of Palm Bay, FL; eighteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday at Troy United Methodist Church with the Reverend Barrett Alewine officiating. Inurnment will follow in Troy Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church social hall.
