Sybil Plampin Sparks, 90, died on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Saluda Nursing Center. Her husband of 72 years, Charles V. Sparks, Sr., died on April 2, 2011. They shared the same birthdays, November 7, and were married on their birthdays. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late William and Martha H. Plampin. Her hobbies included making dolls, doll clothes and embroidering pillows. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving is her daughter, Jane Sparks; two sons, C. Victor Sparks and John Eric Sparks, all of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Sandra Sparks, daughter of John; Kim Klein and Keith Stringer, children of Jane; four great grandchildren, Rachel, Kelly and Sean Klein, Alex Stringer.
