Boyce Ted McCarthy, 74, of 94 Cothran Street, husband of Janet Evans McCarthy, died Tuesday, September 08, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in the Dyson Community, he was a son of the late Homer Toyce and Alice King McCarthy. He was retired from P.G.E. and was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ninety Six. Surviving are his wife of the home; children, Kate Knight of Ninety Six, Stephen McCarthy and his wife, Deborah, of Marysville, CA, Robert Montag and Carl Montag, both of Greenwood and Sheri Quintero of Boulder Creek, CA; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Simpson; a sister, Viola Wasson and brothers, Jack McCarthy, Ned McCarthy and Mac McCarthy.
