Teresa Margaret Elgin Kirby, 73, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Ninety-Six. She was born on December 16, 1952, in Greenville, South Carolina.

She is survived by her sons, Donald Elgin and Daryl (Kathryn) Elgin, and by her daughter, Stella Stork; two brothers, Tommy (Sandra) Burns, John (Sonia Stevens) Burns and a sister, Debbie (Ken) Griffith. She leaves behind a cherished circle of grandchildren who will carry her memory forward: granddaughters Christina Berryhill, Caitlyn Berryhill, and Carly Elgin; and grandsons Hayden Riggs, Luke Elgin, Ryan Elgin, and Dallas Elgin.

Teresa is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Kirby, her parents; Thomas and Doris Burns and one grandson, Garrett Elgin and a granddaughter, Madalyn Berryhill. 

Her grandchildren were the light of her life along with her late husband Ralph. She enjoyed being around family, traveling and especially loved animals. Teresa's life was a blessing to those who knew her, and her memory will remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always. 

Services will be held privately.
