Teresa Ann McCarty Tullis, 64, of Abbeville, wife of Lonzo Tullis, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at her home.

Born in Waterloo, she was the daughter of the late Carol McCarty and Janice Bell McCarty. Teresa dedicated 25 years of her life to serving as a dispatcher with the South Carolina Highway Patrol until her retirement. She will be remembered as a woman who adored her family and took great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her passion for shopping on QVC was matched only by her talent for decorating.

In addition to her husband, Lonzo, she is survived by a daughter, Shannon Calvert (Kenny); granddaughter, Ashlyn; numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; special uncle, Myron Johnson; along with many other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by five stepchildren, Bobby, David, and Scotty Rozier, Lee Ann Tullis, and Jerry Tullis.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Melrose Cemetery with Alexis Ramirez speaking.
