Theresa �Terry� Cheatham Kelly, (94), of 1110 Marshall Road, widow of John Granberry Kelly, Jr., died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Hospice House in Greenwood SC. Born in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Charles Eugene and Emma Cleone Cheatham. She was a graduate of Lander College and retired from South Carolina National Bank. Terry also helped her husband with the family business, Greenville Area Supply. She was a charter member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Greenville, where she taught the 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School Class for 40 years. She was an affiliate member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Greenwood, where she was a member of the Hut Class. She always enjoyed being with friends, but always said, �there is nothing better than being with family�. Surviving are two sons, James E. �Jim� Kelly and his wife, Kathy, of Greenwood and John G. Kelly, III and his wife, Nona, of Simpsonville; daughter-in-law, Donna Kelly, of Columbia; six grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years; a son, Charles Richard �Dick� Kelly and her 2 brothers. Memorials may be made to the Childrens� ministry programs at either St Matthew UMC, Greenville or to Main Street UMC, Greenwood.
