Theresa Raye "Doodle" Ruff, of Abbeville, widow of Donnie Ruff, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at her home.

Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Roy Brewer and Mary Frances Mobley Brewer. Theresa found immense joy in her role as grandmother, nurturing her grandchildren with love and kindness. She had a heart that welcomed everyone, and her capacity for love and compassion touched the lives of many. Theresa attended Mercy Tree Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Lee "Chip" Ruff and a brother, Raymond Roy Brewer, Jr.
Surviving are her daughters, Ashley (Phillip) Garrett, Kayla (Nathan) Wood and Brooke Thomas; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Ashley; sisters, Brenda Dowis (Eddie), Martha Ellis, Rebecca Todd (David), Lisa Leach (Marcus) and Karen Prince and grandchildren, Kasen Ruff, Jacie Wood, Wyatt Wood, Adalee Garrett, Taylor Garrett, Emery Garrett, Malaki Johnson and Shawn Thomas.

Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum with Rev. Drew Martin, Eddie Dowis and Nathan Wood officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Malaki Johnson, Jamie Horne, Nathan Wood, Phillip Garrett, Eddie Dowis, Gene Owens and Eddie Simmons.

The family will receive friends before the service at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel from 12-1pm.
