Thomas N. Boswell, 74, of Cross Hill, husband of Ann Stover Boswell, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Self Regional Hospital.

Born in Horse Branch, KY, he was a son of the late Thomas Henry and Claudia Camp Boswell. Tom was the first male nursing graduate from Lander College and was the first male nurse to be employed by Self Memorial Hospital. He also worked for Home Health in Saluda, Leath Correctional Institute and retired from McCormick Prison. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Surviving is his wife of the home; his daughter, Claudia Starling (Chris) of Cross Hill; his granddaughter, Savannah Starling; sisters, Peggy Cross (G.B.) of Ann Arbor, MI, Joan Rawlings of Greenwood and Sandra Shannonhouse (Richard) of Canton, GA; and a brother, Michael Boswell of Bartow, FL.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
