John �Tom� Smith, 71, of 13818 Highway 39, husband of Nancy Turner Smith, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Hospice House. Born in Norfork, VA; he was the son of the late Ernest and Myrtle McNure Smith. Tom was the owner of Smith�s Salvage and Towing. Surviving in addition to his beloved wife of 46 years are two children, Eric (Michelle) Smith of Chappells and Laura (Harrison) Burriss of Waco, TX; a sister, Joyce (Don) Hayhurst of Lakeland, FL; and four grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Ashley Smith, Peyton Burriss and Andrew Smith. Pallbearers will be Eric Smith, Harrison Burriss, Johnny Ingle, Bo Dendy, David Turner, Clem McNure and Sam Bannister The family is at the home of his son, Eric Smith, 86 Goggins School Road, Chappells.
