William Thomas "Tom" Whatley, III, 65, of 305 Grannys Lane, husband of Sherri Davis Whatley, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late William Thomas Whatley, Jr. and Mary Timmerman Whatley. He was an automotive mechanic and ran Whatley's Auto Service for over 35 years and was a member of First Damascus Baptist Church. Tom enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his wife and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Sherri, of the home is his sister, Janet Medley (Junior) of Hamptonville, NC and his brother, Neal Whatley (Irene) of Greenwood.
In addition to his parents, William and Mary, he was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Lee Korrek; sister, Cindy Tolbert; and brother-in-law, Bo Tolbert.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at First Damascus Baptist Church with the Rev. David HItt and Rev. Mark Strickland officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Rude, Kevin Whatley, Gus Catarius, Robbie Alexander, Rob Tolbert, and Philip Wood.
