Tommy Dean Crawford, 63, of Greenwood, husband of Debra J. Crawford, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late, Charles Crawford and Willie Mae Davenport Crawford. He spent over 40 years in the logging industry. A true craftsman, Tommy skillfully maneuvered heavy machinery, efficiently harvesting trees and transporting logs.
Tommy was a man of the outdoors, finding joy in fishing and appreciating nature's beauty. He had a passion for singing karaoke, especially to the tunes of Elvis Presley.
Above all, Tommy cherished his role as "Papa" to his beloved grandbabies, showering them with love and creating unforgettable memories with family. He deeply adored his wife, Debra Crawford, holding her close to his heart throughout their journey together. As a man of the Baptist faith, Tommy embraced the Lord's teachings, finding strength in his beliefs.
In addition to his wife, Debra of the home he is survived by his children, Virginia "Gina" Simpson (Darrell) of Greenwood, Amy LeCroy of Waterloo, Kayla McAllister (Trey) of Greenwood, Travis Taylor (Paula) of Waterloo, and Brittney Smith (Ben) of Greenwood; brothers, Charles "Carol" Crawford and Michael "Mike" Crawford, both of Waterloo; thirteen grandchildren, including grandson, Jordan, who he held a special bond with; two great grandchildren; and one great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Neal and three brothers, Steven Crawford, Mitchell Crawford, and Mark Crawford.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends following the service.
