William Thomas "Tommy" Pruitt, 76, of Greenwood, husband of Kimberly Dodgen Pruitt, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Charlie Norwood Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Charles Burke Pruitt, Sr. and Marie Quick Pruitt. Tommy was a Greenwood High School graduate and a Piedmont Technical College graduate, where he received two associate degrees in criminal engineering and accounting. He was a US Air Force veteran, where he served during the Vietnam War. Tommy was formerly employed with Hobby and Garden and Dills Locksmith. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking, making things such as bird houses and bird feeders.

He is survived by his wife, Kim; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Hannah Pruitt; sister, Jeanette Corbett (Jay); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Burke Pruitt, Jr. and his wife, Emily.

A celebration of life will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Good Times Brewing.
