Obituary

Vasco Bishop Hook, 96, of 215 Kitson Street, widower of Louise Holley Hook, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at Hospice House. Born in Lexington, he was a son of the late James Ligon and Anna Corley Hook. He retired as a superintendent of the weave room from Greenwood Mills, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a life member of Joppa Lodge A.F.M. and had been a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church since 1941 and was a member of the Men�s Bible Class. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Jo Marie and Tim Ethridge of Greenwood; a sister, Betty Black of Batesburg; three grandchildren, Amy Ethridge of Charleston, Julie Shaughnessy and her husband, Scott, of Greenville and Leah Martin and her husband, Britt, of Simpsonville; great grandchildren, Joseph, Nathan and Ben Shaughnessy, Riley and Jackson Martin.
