Velma McCullough Crittendon Maynard, 90, widow of Marvin E. Maynard, of Lowndesville, passed away peacefully at NHC of Greenwood on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Sallie McCullough and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son, Buddy Crittendon and his wife, Sylvia, of Hodges. She cherished her grandsons and is survived by Mike Crittendon, her guardian, and his fianc�e, Susie Whittington, with whom she made her home when she moved to Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her grandson/guardian, Chip Crittendon (Sherry), with whom she also made her home while in Greenwood. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Brittni, Trevor and Gavin Crittendon of Pelzer, Sami Crittendon and Eric Whittington of Greenwood.
