Vickie Lynn Rice, 69, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 69.

She cherished spending time with her family, especially during holidays and family gatherings. An avid reader and a talented cook in her younger years and found joy in helping others in any way she could. Vickie dedicated herself to her work, serving as a co-owner of South Point Tire in Greenwood and previously working as a police officer in Ninety Six. Vickie was a compassionate soul whose kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Helen Martin Alverson; her sister Tammy Bundrick; and brother, Jerry Alverson.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John Rice, sons Harold, Marty, and Spencer Karter; brother Randy Spencer (Pam); granddaughters Haven and Katelyn Karter; and her nephew who was like her son Drew Boswell (JW).

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, November 11, 2024, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Amy Leye officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 4-6 pm.
