Obituary
Virda Lou Kegley Ouzts, 88, of Greenwood, widow of Virgil Montague "Monty" Ouzts, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at her home.
Born in Pennington Gap VA, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Stella Parson Kegley. Virda was formerly employed with Park Seed and was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Capley; four sisters and six brothers.
Surviving are her children, Jill Carlisle, Vick Capley, Denette Evans and Larry Leek (Sonya); sisters, Pauletta Hall of Middleton, OH and Kathy Stapleton of Jonesville, VA; a brother, Marion Kegley of Pennington Gap, VA; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Vic Capley, Larry Leek, Josh Capley, Jason Leek, Jordan Peurifoy and Josh Denton.
The family will receive friends at the home, 120 Marshall Circle, Greenwood, on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
